By subscribing to LitDigest, you agree to the following terms.

1. Service

LitDigest delivers curated academic paper digests to your email based on your research interests. We aggregate publicly available preprint metadata from sources including arXiv, bioRxiv, and medRxiv, rank papers by relevance, and deliver a summary at your chosen frequency. Your data is handled per our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility, Geography, and Access Restrictions

You may use LitDigest only if you can form a binding agreement and your use is lawful in your jurisdiction.

• You must provide accurate signup information and subscribe using an email address you control.
• LitDigest is offered from the United States and may not be available in all countries, regions, institutions, or regulated settings.
• We may restrict or refuse access where use would create legal, sanctions, export-control, privacy, or operational risk.
• You may not use LitDigest on behalf of a person or organization that is prohibited from receiving the service.

3. Research Use; No Medical, Legal, or Regulatory Advice

LitDigest is an informational research-discovery tool. It is not a substitute for independent professional judgment.

• We do not guarantee the relevance, completeness, timeliness, or accuracy of recommendations.
• We do not endorse, verify, or certify the scientific validity of any paper, preprint, abstract, or summary.
• LitDigest is not medical advice, legal advice, investment advice, or regulatory guidance.
• If you use LitDigest in a clinical, regulated, or institutionally sensitive environment, you are responsible for any required independent review, approval, or compliance steps.

4. Acceptable Use

• Provide a valid email address that you own
• One subscription per email address
• No automated or bulk subscriptions
• No misuse of the service to scrape, spam, reverse engineer, or interfere with normal operation

5. Source Content and Intellectual Property

Papers, abstracts, metadata, and linked source materials remain subject to the rights and licenses of their original publishers, repositories, and authors. LitDigest provides discovery and curation only. Your use of linked content must comply with the applicable source terms and licenses.

6. Disclaimers & Liability

LitDigest is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

• We are not liable for missed digests, delivery failures, or downtime
• LitDigest is not a substitute for systematic literature review

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LitDigest shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

7. Termination

You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any digest email. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if these terms are violated, if use creates legal or operational risk, or if the service is discontinued.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States.
